I’m No Scaredy Cat 2020!

Retreat Details

Isla Mujeres

I love this island!  I travel a lot and this is the only vacation spot that I’ve come back to more than once!  Isla Mujeres is a beautiful, peaceful paradise just across the Bahia de Mujeres (Bay of Women) from Cancun Mexico. Isla Mujeres is more laid-back and tranquil than Cancun, but that doesn't mean there isn't plenty to do!

It is known for beautiful white sand beaches, calm crystal clear turquoise waters and the friendliest locals in the Mexican Caribbean. With the beauty of the Caribbean, the heritage of the Mayans, and the easygoing charm of the people, Isla Mujeres has become a haven for people from all over the world.  That’s why I keep going back!

Check out this website to get good information about the island, including electricity, water, medical assistance, etc.    http://www.islamujeres.net/generalinfo.html

Lodging

We are staying at Casa Sirena.  http://www.casasirenamexico.com  This is my favorite spot to stay in Isla! Casa Sirena is owned by a friend of mine from Minnesota who fell in love with this island so much that he moved here!  The rooms are comfortable and modern.  We will get a delicious, authentic, healthy breakfast every day.  They are serving vegan breakfasts and for us meat eaters, we can add meat if we choose.  Plus every night right before sunset, Steve hosts a happy hour and serves the best margaritas on the island!!!  There is no elevator, so keep that in mind when you are packing.  It is within walking distance from the ferry.  It isn’t right on the beach, but as you will see, the island is super small, so the beach is within walking distance from wherever you stay.
